On the 6th of October, 8 students got together and volunteered to pack customers shopping bags in M&S at the Blanchardstown Shopping Centre. The money we raised was going to Spinal Injuries Ireland, the only charity in Ireland for people who have sustained a spinal cord injury and their families. Four students bag packed from 1-4pm and another four took over from 4-6pm. According to the World Health Organisation a spinal cord injury is one of the most devastating and life changing injuries that a person can sustain. It was a heartwarming experience, knowing that we were making a little difference to helping people in need of support. Many thanks to Mr.Walshe for giving us this opportunity! Written by Gabriele B.
