On Tuesday the 26th of September 2017 the TY year group went to the Odeon cinema in Blanchardstown as part of their 'English Comparative Study Module'. The group went to see "The Kings Speech" directed by Tom Hooper.
"The Kings Speech" is an amazing film that tells a true story about King George VI, he had difficulties with public speaking because of his stammer. In order to overcome this, the King finds a speech therapist by the name of Lionel Logue, that can help him with his impediment. The King and the therapist work together for nearly two years. As a result , the King's stammer improves incredibly, but will all the hard work pay off for the King's war time speech?
The TY year group seemed to have had a great time and really enjoyed the film while munching on their popcorn and fizzy drinks ! What a great way to start the week. Many thanks to Mrs Lattin and Mr. Walshe for organising !
